The Unexpected Gift that Hurricane Helene Gave Me

~Hello Beautiful Souls~

This boutique & blog is a direct result of Hurricane Helene that hit several Southeastern states in Sept 2024 in massive destruction that we are still recovering from. This was a wake-up call for me! After immediately losing my fun Spa job in Downtown Asheville, I barely had money to take care of my kids & I. I also didn’t have the money to be able to donate & help with recovery efforts in the community the way I wanted to. I realized that I was working a job that I truly enjoyed, but it wasn’t nurturing my soul’s calling to help heal people and to provide for my family as a single mom.

I’m Deidra & I want to provide a refuge for all Artists & Healers on this journey.  I am a Self-Healer & my soul’s true calling is to be in the Healing Arts, with massage & somatic
therapy, yoga teaching, and creative writing to share my healing journey of alcoholism,
addictions, complex ptsd, adhd, and neurodiversity~ how it has affected me & how I’m
healthily recovering & the beautiful, mystical, wandering path I’ve taken. The Mindful Diva is a boutique about Self Love, Self Expression, Love for Others, Inclusivity, Community, Diversity, High Vibes, Healing and Compassion for Mother Earth & All Living Beings.  I hope you’ll join me on this journey!
